4. Identify the experts; the "amount" experts

Identifying experts in a therapeutic area can be useful for a number of reasons. In the pharmaceutical industry, it may involve identifying current or emerging prescribers (young influential prescribers). In research, it may involve identifying international teams publishing in the same field, to assess their progress.

A number of tools can be used to identify these authors. Inciteful, once articles on the field of expertise have been indicated, can search for articles on the same subject and create a table of top authors, and "upcoming", emerging authors.
