5. Importing data into mind mapping software: example with Freeplane
First, open the Freeplane software. Create a new map and save it to your hard disk.
Rename the heart of your map (by double-clicking left). For example: "Mind mapping capitalization map".
Then, in the spreadsheet, select the column containing the URLs. Copy and paste the data into the Freeplane map. The links appear in the map with a globe. Click on them to launch the web browser to access the resource.
By default, Freeplane will display all links copied to the right of the map heart. For better visibility, move some links to the left of the heart (by simply dragging and dropping branches on the left side of the heart, which becomes grayed out).
