1. Collecting resources as you go
In the past, many watchers organized the results of their research in specific folders. More often than not, they spent more time arranging the information they found than analyzing it. This practice surely represents a legacy of the sorting present in the physical world. In a library, for example, books may be arranged solely by criterion (e.g.: by author, by theme). Today, some watchers have opted for the "just-in-time" technique.
Here's how it works: as soon as you collect a resource, assign it a label based on your various projects. How do you do it? Simply code all your projects as tags.
Then use a social bookmarking service to collect your web resources. These allow you to assign one or more tags to a favorite.
