Reuse, re-employment; reuse
Reuse is the operation whereby a product is sold by its original owner to a third party who, a priori, will give it a second life in the same use. The product retains its status as a product and never becomes waste. Reuse is an operation that enables a waste product to be used again, possibly by diverting its initial use. The fact that it passes through the status of waste and is partially dismantled distinguishes it from reuse.
Recycling
Recycling is the operation whereby the raw material of a waste product is recovered to make a new object. A distinction is generally made between closed-circuit recycling, in which products of a similar nature and quality are produced, and open-circuit recycling, in which the material produced is used to manufacture goods different from the original product....
