The administration of health data, and particularly chronic disease data, is a major public health issue for Canada. In fact, 44% of of the Canadian population lives with one or more chronic diseases, which account for 65% of all illnesses. of deaths in the country. To improve the situation, this article proposes a secure data-sharing system created by Blockchain Citiz, a Quebec-based civic startup specializing in blockchain technology, in collaboration with the Centre hospitalier de l'université de Montréal (CHUM). The system is designed to support patients in following medical recommendations. Firstly, the article discusses four issues relating to the administration of healthcare data in general, and chronic disease data in particular. Secondly, it considers the Citiz blockchain solution based on the support of a community around the patient. Thirdly, it presents blockchain technology.
