In this brief presentation of e-health technologies used in the home, we have taken stock of the techniques available for monitoring and educating, these two activities constituting two inseparable aspects of the care of the dependent person at home (figure 37 ), who can now benefit, in the "Time/Complexity/Asset" frame of reference, from non-invasive and non-intrusive monitoring, made possible by recent advances in NICTs, with a view to :

  • increased quality of life;

  • effective longevity;
