 INTRODUCTION

As medical diagnosis increasingly relies on the analysis of markers and biochemical constants in the patient, it is becoming important to be able to monitor the concentration of a molecule at a given point in the body in real time: this is the main function of in vivo implantable biosensors. Implantable glucose biosensors thus considerably improve the quality of life of diabetics by enabling them to continuously monitor their blood sugar levels. In the field of neuroscience, implantable biosensors provide a better understanding of the role of chemical communication in the brain.
