2. Properties

For the sake of clarity, it is necessary to distinguish between the properties of resins (PVC without additives) and those of processed products (materials and objects).

2.1 Resins

PVC resins are white powders, generally odorless and tasteless. Depending on their particle size distribution, they resemble either flour or very fine sand.

In order to characterize each resin more precisely, and also to make it easier for users to choose, we use designations standardized by AFNOR (Association Française de Normalisation), CEN (Comité Européen de Normalisation) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
