Colorants – Dye (cosmetics regulation definition)

Substances that are exclusively or mainly intended to color a cosmetic product, the whole body or certain parts of it, by absorption or reflection of visible light. Oxidation hair dye precursors are also considered colorants.

Preservatives – Preservative (definition in the Cosmetic Regulations)

Substances which are exclusively or mainly intended to prevent the development of micro-organisms in the cosmetic product.

CMR

Carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic or toxic for reproduction COLIPA (Comité de liaison de la parfumerie).
