3. Conclusion

Parameters collected on the skin provide a better understanding of how it functions, and of any deregulation (ageing, pathologies). There are important and necessary links between developments in fundamental research on cells, the clinical expertise of the doctor, and biometrological results (whose examinations are guided by the eye of the dermatologist), quantified thanks to scientists. Thanks to the technologies described, the sometimes spectacular effects of cosmetic active ingredients on skin constituents and functions can be demonstrated.
