Alopecia

Alopecia describes the loss of hair, which can have different origins and manifestations.

Ballistometry; ballistométrie

Technique used to measure skin elasticity and firmness: the analysis focuses on the bounce (number, amplitude, etc.) of a ball of known mass on the skin.

Capillaries; blood capillaries

Blood capillaries follow on from arterioles, and form the last step in the blood network. With a diameter of around 5 µm, they are the site of exchanges between blood and tissues. In the skin, capillaries are found in the dermal and hypodermal layers.

Dermis; dermis

The second layer of the skin, with an average thickness of just a few millimeters, this connective tissue plays a central role in skin functions...
