6. Using floral waters and hydrosols

Today, floral waters and hydrosols are used in a wide range of fields, mainly in cosmetics and the food industry.

Unlike essential oils, which are concentrates of organic compounds, hydrolats are much less risky to use than essential oils, thanks to their high dilution in water. The regulatory constraints currently imposed on essential oils are likely to lead to an increase in the use of hydrolats.
