2.1 Fine Fragrances
Fine perfumery or alcoholic perfumery is the best-known sector of the perfume industry, as it corresponds to the most noble scented products, those we buy and use every day, or give as gifts on special occasions such as the end-of-year celebrations.
Fine fragrance is a dilution of a perfume concentrate or "juice" in ethanol. Depending on the concentration of the fragrance base, several products can be obtained: perfume (15 to 30%), eau de parfum (8 to 15%), eau de toilette (5 to 8%), eau de Cologne (3 to 5%), eau de sport (1 to 3%)... The products with the highest juice concentrations, and the most expensive, are the ones with the greatest staying power throughout the day.
