7. Conclusion

PCSs are mature tools recognized as assets for simplifying, accelerating and securing port activities linked to goods, passengers and ships. Today, global supply chains face growing uncertainties, requiring maritime players to better organize themselves to adapt to geopolitical, economic and future decarbonization challenges.

In response to these challenges, digital platforms are becoming increasingly widespread, contributing to these objectives and offering shippers and transport operators ever more innovative services. These platforms, such as GUMs and GUCEs, help to optimize freight flows on a national and global scale.
