With the growth of sea transport over the last few decades, flexible and rapid information exchange has become a key element of competition, both in the global supply chain and within individual ports. Supply chains now require a wide range of advanced communication tools and efficient, reliable and cost-effective transport networks to support them. Ports play an essential role as intermodal and distribution hubs, influencing both the cost and reliability of the entire supply chain. Shippers and carriers choose ports not only for their cargo handling capabilities, but also for the value-added services they offer through their PCS platform.
