3.1 PCS functions vary from port to port

The range of functions of a PCS can vary considerably, depending on the specific needs of the port and the type of activity. Thus, the configuration will evolve in terms of the types of ships handled by the port, as well as the stakeholders involved in port activities. Processes will have different interdependencies depending on the organization of the port and the different types of goods transiting through the port.

It is therefore rare to find an exhaustive implementation of all possible functionalities within a single PCS.
