12. Responsibilities of stakeholders

Chapter 1.4 of the ADR defines the respective responsibilities of the various parties involved in the transport of dangerous goods, from the initial classification of goods to the instructions to be followed during unloading. The parties identified in the ADR are as follows:

  • sender;

  • packer;

  • charger;

  • filler;

  • carrier;

  • operator of a tank container or mobile tank;

  • unloader;

  • recipient.
