10. Traffic rules and service regulations

The ADR does not regulate all the material conditions for the transport of dangerous goods, as certain points can only be left to the discretion of the national authorities. This is the case for specific conditions for traffic on the road network, which in France are governed by the Highway Code, supplemented by the following texts:

1. Decree of April 16, 2021, on the prohibition of goods transport vehicles during certain periods, which generally prohibits vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of over 7.5 tons used for road freight transport from traveling on the entire road and highway network:

   • from Saturday at 10 p.m. until Sunday at 10 p.m.,

   • from 10 p.m. on the eve of the public holiday until 10 p.m. on the public holiday.
