Metrology is a complicated science, because it deals with "invisible" phenomena (measurement errors). Numerical simulation makes it possible to observe theoretical situations. By mastering digital simulation, which is easily accessible thanks to today's software tools, metrologists can visualize and understand the phenomena they are confronted with on a daily basis.
