Standard NF T 90-210 "Qualité de l'eau – Protocole d'évaluation initiale des performances d'une méthode dans un laboratoire" proposes a method for validating the chosen model by studying residuals. Residuals are the errors made when comparing the value of x recovered from the response y and the model, with the value of x introduced (see figure Model error).
