The main changes in terms of operational control lie in better organization of these requirements. The entire operational value chain for a product or service is now included in the same chapter: planning, requirements identification, design, realization, control of outsourced processes and purchasing, product control and release, and change management. Product control and release activities, like those for the management of non-conforming products, are then considered to be production activities in their own right.
