1. Definition: What is accuracy?
According to ISO 3534-1, trueness is "the closeness of agreement between the mean value obtained from a large series of test results and an accepted reference value. It is generally expressed in terms of bias".
Graphically (see Gauss curve figure), this measurement bias is represented by the distance separating the average from the reference (target) value.
