1. What are the requirements of ISO 9001:2015?

As stipulated in ISO 9001 § 7.1.2: "The organization shall identify and provide the human resources necessary to establish, implement, maintain and improve the quality management system".

It is also advisable (cf. § 7.2) to "determine the necessary skills of the person(s) carrying out, under his or her control, work which has an impact on the performance and effectiveness of the quality management system. Ensure that these persons are competent on the basis of appropriate initial or professional training or experience".

The referential takes this exploration a step further, adding the ferment of knowledge to the notion of training and skills. Indeed, a tree structure of concepts is at work, in an underlying way, in the chain of interconnected concepts: data – information - knowledge - skills.
