4.1 Don't confuse certification with accreditation

Mention of management system certification on a calibration certificate does not guarantee traceability to SI units.

Mention of certification is prohibited by the standards defining the assessment and accreditation of management system certification bodies and the use of their marks by certified bodies (ISO/CEI 17021-1 § 8.3.2 - A certification body shall not allow its marks to be used by certified clients on test laboratory reports, calibration or inspection reports or certificates).
