5. Conclusion

When properly optimized, centrifugal partition chromatography can deliver surprisingly high levels of selectivity. Despite the technique's great potential, it remains little-known, and has little appeal for users compared with well-established processes such as HPLC. It would be interesting to compare centrifugal partition chromatography with, or better still complement, other techniques, right from the early stages of product purification development.

Reminder of the advantages of the technique :

  • very high selectivity, easily adjustable ;

  • numerous modes of use ;

  • high load capacity ;

  • stationary phase renewable with each injection.
