3.1 Measurements and equipment

    Obtaining chronopotentiograms and determining transition times requires very few resources. On the other hand, electrokinetic studies of reaction mechanisms require more sophisticated equipment. In all cases, a three-electrode set-up is required (see figure 14 ) to obtain accurate measurements and to be able to apply the relationships given above.

    The type of electrodes to be used depends essentially on the electrochemical reactions involved in an analytical method or studied in the case of an electrokinetic study.
