4. Generating executable code

A detailed, precise specification model, described using a declarative language based on a well-defined set of concepts, is not fundamentally different from a program written using a graphical programming language such as LabView's G language (which is also a declarative language). Under these conditions, the only real difference lies in the fact that, in the first case, the choice of imperative language used is open, whereas in the second case, this choice is imposed and the operation transparent to the user.
