INTRODUCTION
The SARIA Group is a major player in biomass valorization. This field is perfectly in line with current initiatives to preserve food resources as far as possible, and to recover energy from waste.
Driven by its growth, the Group has embarked on a modernization and expansion program covering all its sites, enabling it to anticipate the most stringent requirements in terms of safety, quality and traceability, while improving the performance level of its facilities.
To this end, the manufacturer defined a broad functional scope covering both SCADA and MES functionalities. The choice was made to rely on an integrated standard solution providing all these functionalities within a single software package (ORDINAL Software's COOX range).
The deployment of this project, in production at a significant number of sites, is an excellent example of the capitalization approach that can be implemented as part of a SCADA + MES project based on a strong technological foundation.
The main problem was the diversity of the sites, with their different processes: a "copy-paste" of a generic database on each site is therefore not relevant. A more refined core model approach, consisting of modeling sub-assemblies (equipment, procedures, etc.) for reuse at each site, was made possible by the software technology chosen.
