4. Conclusion

The article presented the concepts and challenges of SoS, including operational and managerial independence, evolving configurations, emerging behaviors and connectivity. One of the key points is to identify the value expected by SoS users, in order to seek to increase the performance of the corresponding value chain while preserving the required levels of safety and security.

The specific features of SoS, such as capabilities, operational missions, operational scenarios, the need for forward-looking studies, as well as the lability and scalability of the SoS perimeter and its technical and non-technical dimensions, were clarified.
