11.  Conclusion

The various level measurement technologies on display (manual, weighing, radioisotope, optical, electrical capacitance, sound and ultrasonic waves, microwaves, tuning fork, probe, electrical conductivity and resistivity) make it possible to respond to all industrial problems by selecting the solution best suited to the need. Many of these technologies have been and are constantly being developed by the various manufacturers, notably in terms of extending measurement ranges, permissible ambient conditions, measurement accuracy, connectivity and ancillary functions such as self-diagnosis and remote reading.
