6. Measurement chain

Calibration of a standard probe meeting ITS-90 criteria can be carried out using a multimeter. In this case, all the uncertainties associated with the instrument (connection, drift, resolution, ambient temperature, type of current delivered, etc.) must be taken into account. In most cases, however, the laboratory uses a resistance comparator bridge associated with a standard resistor.
