Rapid image recording techniques have applications in many areas of research and industry, including the following.
Mechanics, manufacturing: observation of the behavior of moving parts and malfunctions in machines such as weaving looms, rotary printing presses, machine tools, robots, motors, welding machines, cutting machines, etc.
Electricity: study of natural and artificial phenomena such as lightning, arcs and short circuits, switch and connector development and improvement, etc.
Aeronautics: examination of the trajectories of fast-moving vehicles (aircraft, rockets, launchers, etc.), aerodynamic studies in wind tunnels or in flight, etc.
Hydrodynamics: study of fluid flows in pipes or in the open air, aerosols, etc.
