8. Analog phasemeter with scales

This classification includes phase meters using flip-flops or logic circuits.

With the help of electronic processes, waves are transformed into rectangular signals, phase detection is performed by flip-flops or logic circuits; phase shift indication is given by a pointer device after the integration of an analog sequence.

8.1 Bistable rocker phase meters

The voltages to be compared are processed by clipper amplifiers, which transform the alternations into square-wave signals that switch from low to high or vice versa at the exact moment when the voltages go to zero.
