6. Conclusion

Cofrac, or Comité Français d'Accréditation, is the French organization responsible for accrediting certification bodies, inspection bodies and laboratories. It guarantees the competence and impartiality of these bodies by verifying their compliance with international standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 17025 for calibration laboratories). Cofrac therefore plays an essential role in ensuring the recognition and reliability of the services provided by these bodies, thereby contributing to consumer and business confidence in certified products and services.
