1. Missions
Cofrac, the French Accreditation Committee, a non-profit association governed by the law of 1 er July 1901, was set up on April 29, 1994 at the initiative of the public authorities, with the support of professional organizations and consumer associations. By decree no. 2008-1401 dated December 26, 2008, it was designated as the sole accreditation body in France.
Under its statutes, Cofrac (logo in figure 1 ) has the following objectives:
