4.1 Public authorities

• Metrology Office

  The Bureau de la Métrologie is responsible for legal metrology within the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry and Employment. Because of its close links with the notions of quality and standardization, it is attached to the Sub-Directorate for Quality, Standardization, Metrology and Industrial Property (SQUALPI) of the General Directorate for Competitiveness, Industry and Services. Regulations are implemented jointly with the Direction générale de la concurrence, de la consommation et de la répression des fraudes.
