9. Conclusion

As a brief conclusion, all the causes of noise analyzed can be either significant or negligible, depending on the problem being addressed. Many are unavoidable: we can't avoid the hull slamming into the swell or cavitation occurring. However, it is advisable to implement the proven noise reduction procedures mentioned above: for example, a working or resting volume decoupled in vibration from the hull is not too costly if it is provided for from the very start of the ship's design.

Fine-tuned forecasts quickly lead to very heavy and costly calculations, and only make sense if they relate to the main noise source of the problem being addressed, which is not always quickly identifiable with certainty.
