17. Coated miscellaneous metal objects (bleached metal)

17.1 Field of application

This concerns coated metal materials and articles (bleached metal) other than those covered by the other sheets relating to metals (see general metals sheet) which, in their finished state, are intended to come into contact with foodstuffs, products and beverages for human or animal consumption.

Definition of bleached metal: metal object coated with a light white deposit such as silver, nickel, tin and chromium, or a combination of these elements.

  • The main examples of metal supports are as follows:

    • copper or copper alloys ;

    • zinc or zinc alloys.
