22. Complexes

22.1 Field of application

This applies to complex materials and articles in which the plastic layer is in direct contact with food products, in particular:

• plastic/aluminum complex ;

• plastic / aluminium / paper ;

• complex plastic / paper / aluminium ;

• plastic / paper complex ;

• coating / plastic / paper complex (this type of complex is used in particular to manufacture lids; the coating consists of a hot-melt material or a varnish, while the plastic part is often a metallized polyester).
