3. Implementation

  • Step 1 – Formulating the mix

    Based on the objectives sought for finished products, formulation consists of drawing up a list of ingredients, together with the percentages of each. This is a strategic function devolved to the R&D department, whose mission is to innovate and select ingredients in line with consumer expectations, based on specifications. The list of possible ingredients is constantly growing, in line with the latest fashions and market trends, and there are countless combinations to choose from. Software is available to carry out preliminary tests and validate formulas before they are launched on production lines.
