The concept represents a place not identified by a geography. The privative "a" is the negation of the concept of geography.

Convenience Chain

Theorized by Terence Hopkins and Immanuel Wallerstein in 1977, it represents the processes of productive activity in the capitalist sense of a succession of links (or boxes) in the "world system".

Global Value Chain

Theorized by Gary Gereffi and Miguel Korzeniewicz, it studies the phenomenon of value creation from a transnational perspective, highlighting the key activities that have an impact in terms of cost, quality and competitive advantage.
