3. Check the categories for which the organization is approved
Approvals issued to periodic inspection bodies are sector-specific. Organizations are not approved for all the headings in the nomenclature covered by periodic inspection of classified installations subject to declaration, but only for the headings mentioned in their application for approval. It is therefore important to check whether the organization is approved for the sections that concern you.
Although regulations do not set a validity period for approvals, they can be withdrawn if the inspection body fails to meet its obligations, does not fulfill the conditions under which approval was granted, or is subject to a criminal sanction.
