3.1 Refer public requests for information to the prefectural authority

The legislator has made the departmental prefect (the police prefect in Paris) responsible for responding to requests for environmental information relating to ICPEs. Under this system, the Prefect has discretionary powers as to whether or not to provide the information requested. Let the administration act within this framework.

If the request is addressed to you directly :

• Send this request to the departmental prefecture's environmental service, or to the bureau de la police sanitaire et de l'environnement (BPSE) at the Paris police headquarters.
