Initial state

Data and documentation recovered from the original or reconstituted file, construction characteristics (material, construction code or standard, coating, if any) and the history of work carried out (initial inspection, inspections, non-destructive testing, maintenance and repairs, if any), where such information exists.

Inspection or monitoring plan

Any document which defines the set of operations prescribed to ensure the control of the condition and conformity over time of a piece of equipment or a group of pieces of equipment subject to surveillance. The term "surveillance plan" is used for equipment not covered by an inspection department.
