2. Scope and content of the declaration receipt
The "récépissé de déclaration" (declaration receipt) officially confirms that the prefectoral authority has granted the declarant the right to operate his business, on condition that he complies with a certain number of general planning and operating regulations.
These general requirements are attached to the declaration receipt. They stem from ministerial decrees and are specific to each activity, equipment or product, and therefore to each ICPE heading.
These general prescriptions are defined at national level, but are generally the subject of prefectoral decrees which take them over without modifying them.
