Global security
Global security can be defined as the ability to ensure, for a given community and its members, a sufficient level of prevention and protection against risks and threats of all kinds and impacts, wherever they may come from, under conditions that promote the seamless development of life and collective and individual activities. This definition covers the following components: economic security, health security, IT and digital security (data, networks, etc.), air and maritime security, civil security, etc.

Throughout the article, the word "safety", with the exception of "nuclear safety", is used in the sense of protecting human, material and economic assets against the threat of terrorism, and more generally against malicious acts of all kinds.
