3.1 3D material wall dimensioning

The methodology of this section is divided into three stages:

  • Characterization of resultant forces in walls as a function of hydrodynamic forces;

  • Characterization of the 3D printed material and its mechanical properties;

  • modeling and calculation to verify structural strength, identify areas of high stress and optimize thickness or design.

The forces applied to the 3D material walls were calculated on the basis of the maximum pressure force obtained from the hydrodynamic study for a 30-year return swell:
