2. Optimizing dynamic relaxation measurement

Prior to any measurement, it is necessary to define what information is expected from the measurement. A distinction must be made between knowing the dynamic properties of a material in relation to its formulation, and characterizing a product in its current state. If the aim is simply to determine the characteristic frequencies of the product as a whole (product as is), without establishing any link with its microstructure, only the nature of the substrate/product interface will be taken into account for the measurement, which will be carried out in conditions as close as possible to those in which the material is used. Otherwise, in the majority of situations where the analysis of rheological properties is based on chemical composition, it will be necessary to carry out a preliminary examination of the material's structure to be able to justify an analysis of rheological behavior representative...
