5.1 LI and molecular solvents

When dealing with mixtures of any two solvents, the most important question is: are the properties of the mixture different from the average of the properties of each of the components in the mixture? This is the angle from which we shall address the subject in this section. As the number of LIs is already a limitation for an exhaustive presentation of the properties of these pure solvents, the same applies to the properties of mixtures, so we will only present a very limited selection of results.
