2. Polymer combustion

As polymers are essentially made up of carbon and hydrogen, they are highly combustible. Their combustion involves complex processes linked to the nature and composition of the material, but also to its environment. In this article, we focus not only on the chemical processes leading to the formation of combustible gases, but also on the physical aspects (flow, charring) that can significantly modify the material's decomposition and combustion characteristics.
